October 21, 2020 1:14 pm
2020 has been a bummer of year in a lot of ways, not the least of which being the inaccessibility of quality, hands-on, live continuing education. Dr. Karl Koerner and the KCSI team have developed some of the most innovative and comprehensive surgical extractions CE available today, and invite you to participate in the next course, upcoming on November 13 and 14.
Dentists like you have the ability to attend live online didactic and hands-on exercises working on lifelike models without leaving home. Dr. Koerner is one of the very first to develop an incredible program that provides all the benefits of an in-person course delivered in a virtual setting. Previous course participants report that the course added instant ROI for their practice, and provided in-depth training that yielded just a good results as live, in-person courses.
Participants will practice evidence-based techniques and protocols along with the instructor, and receive input and feedback in real time using video. Procedures covered in the hands-on course include:
- Multiple extractions with alveoloplasty
- Partial bony impactions
- Maxillary third molar impaction
- Surgical extraction of retained root
- Bone grafting and membrane placement
- Sectioning of roots and sinus considerations
- Incision and drainage
- Excisional biopsy
- Incision and flaps, releasing incisions, suturing, continuous lock suturing
- Much more
What’s best, is you get to engage in all these procedures in the comfort of your home or office- and KCSI supplies the models and supplies. (Instruments required, and are available through KCSI as needed).
This course is a total of 22 hours. The first 8 hours are online and self-paced instruction “Surgical Introductory” program. The live portion is 14 hours and takes place over two days on November 13 and 14. The live portion includes live didactic instruction combined with hands-on model surgery as described above.
Dentists have seen a marked increase in patients needing extractions, due to the COVID-19 shutdown preventing access to dental care, stress related tooth fractures and other factors. Your patients want to have their dental needs met by you, and feel most comfortable under your care. Increasing proficiency in surgical extractions will help you meet their needs and wants, and help create a new production stream for your practice as well.
All KCSI courses are eligible for AGD PACE credit under course code 310.
