Pete Emmons, DDS
Dr. Pete Emmons is passionate about teaching. He was born and raised in UT. While in college at Weber State he tutored many courses and taught anatomy labs. These experiences helped him recognize how much he loves to teach. He graduated dental school from Marquette University in 2008 and went straight into active-duty army service where he completed a 12-month AEGD and a 4-month dentoalveolar surgery training. He served for five years on active duty at Ft. Campbell, KY and in Germany. He still serves as an active army reservist with 19 total years in uniform. Deployments have included Afghanistan, Honduras, New Jersey and El Paso. Since 2015, Dr. Emmons has taught in the surgery department full time at Roseman University College of Dental Medicine. He also practices a few days monthly in Alaska, largely treating underserved patients where it is more challenging to find care in a timely manner. His practice has been limited to surgery for close to ten years.
Pete lives for his family and the Rocky Mountains. Snowboarding, hunting, hiking, learning to fish and camping are at the top of his list of things to do with his family and dogs. The mountains are where he loves to be at any given time. “There’s nothing better than the solitude, sounds, and smells of the deep mountain outdoors.”
