Robert E. Langsten, DDS, COL, USAF, RET
Dr. Robert E. Langsten is a highly accomplished advanced general dental officer of the United States Air Force Dental Corps whose career exemplifies clinical excellence. He completed a General Practice Residency at Offutt AFB Nebraska, an AEGD-II Residency at Wilford Hall Medical Center, multiple exodontia courses and has published five papers. Dr. Langsten taught AEGD-II Dental Residents at Wilford Hall Medical Center, Eglin AFB, Fl AEGD-1; Offutt AFB, NE AEGD-1; and both Langley and Keesler AFB AEGD-1 Residency programs for 12 years. He was the Commander of multiple Dental Squadrons leading large, multidisciplinary teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality dental care and the Commander of the 2nd largest clinic in the AF. Colonel Langsten deployed multiple times and served as the Dental Readiness Consultant to the United States Air Force Surgeon General. He also served in organized dentistry as the Delegate for the USAF in the American Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry. He obtained a Fellowship and board certification in the Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Langsten is a Master scuba diver and enjoys fishing and diving in the Florida Keys.
