In affiliation with Idaho State University and Meharry Medical College, DOCS Education is excited to offer this unique and time-saving IV Sedation Training course for dentists. This course meets or exceeds the American Dental Association’s Guidelines for the Use of Sedation and General Anesthesia by Dentists. It includes 60 hours of didactic instruction (home-study and live), plus a minimum of 20 live patient experiences required by the ADA guidelines and most state dental boards. Upon completion of this innovative program, you’ll have the knowledge, clinical skills, and permit qualifications to properly select and safely administer effective parenteral (IV) and enteral (oral) minimal and moderate sedation in an outpatient dental setting.  

This IV sedation certification program includes 60 CE hours of didactic instruction (home-study and live), plus a minimum of 20 live patient experiences.

IV Certification Program:

  • 90 CE
    • Pre-course online – 50 hours
    • 2-way office hour – 4 hours
    • 4 days clinical experience with 20 individual patients – 36 hours
